Napoleon Bonaparte book comparison essay “The Rise of Napoleon Bonaparte” by Robert Asprey is one of the two volumes of Napoleon’s biography that examines the early years of the young Bonaparte and his “formation” in the political and military sphere from his birth in 1769 until the triumphal year of 1805 and the victory at Austerlitz.. Here, the works of Robert Asprey and Alan Schom are discussed in terms of their reflection of Napoleon’s biography; these are two of the numerous but nevertheless very interesting examples or it is even better to say “versions” of Napoleon’s impact into the world’s history in general and into France’s history in particular
Napoleon by Felix Markham Essay “Napoleon” was written to show people the biography of a strong man, to show that there is more about Napoleon that we can ever learn.Markham doesn’t depict just the biography of an outstanding man, he shows us a legend. A legend that affected a lot of generations and will continue affecting people.I can’t call it a real biography book and I assume it wasn’t the real goal of the author, but it definitely is a splendid book about Napoleon’s life.I certainly think this book is a real success of its author though I can’t call it successful in the meaning of not really being a biography.
